Grade II Listed house of 1574. The Landmark Trust, owners of the property, claim it to be built about 1520 as a hall being converted to a house around 1570, probably where the 1574 dating evidence is obtained. Sackville House was rescued from decay in 1919 by Geoffrey Webb, a stained-glass artist and uncle of Sir Aston Webb, the architect. It was left to the Trust in 1995 on the understanding it be retained as a dwelling. The Trust renovated the house in 1997 and it can now be booked as a holiday let that sleeps 8. It may be open to the public on The Landmark Trust's Heritage Open Days.
