A very dull photograph, taken on the first of three visits to this site in an articulated lorry with a 45 foot long trailer, during the course of which I discovered two things. One, that St Mary's Road is only just wide enough to drive an artic down (and only then if no one has parked their car in the wrong place) and two, that there's nowhere at the end of it to turn an artic round. Once I'd unloaded, I had to reverse half a mile around a sharp S bend and past a row of parked cars. I was delivering the first of three loads of roof trusses to the Old Rectory, which is being converted from office space to flats. They're all delivered now, and I for one am glad I won't be coming here again!
