Installation of a French drain* along the northern edge of the Costello Playing Fields. The work aims to prevent the playing fields becoming waterlogged after periods of heavy rain, and to reduce the amount of associated flooding in the domestic gardens which back on to the fields. *"...a trench filled with gravel or rock or containing a perforated pipe that redirects surface water and groundwater away from an area." - Wikipedia
