The Strine drains the Longford Moors in the general direction of the Tern near Crudgington. In the early 1970s, as a schoolboy in Newport, this photographer was made to partake in cross-country runs that involved paddling up (or down) long stretches of the Strine near Edgmond... such happy days. They'd not allow that these days. Probably.
