Facing West Green, the three-storey Westfield House was built circa 1778 for William Hall, with a two-storey 19th century extension to the south. In the latter half of the 20th century, it became the Westfield Country Club, a nightclub. Today, it is the Fair Maid public house, named after Joan Plantagenet, the Fair Maid of Kent, who inherited Cottingham manor in 1352. Her second husband was Edward the Black Prince.
