At the junction with Prestongate, The Admiral, public house, No.3 The Square. The building, 1930s mock Tudor-style, replaces a 19th century inn. It takes its name after Admiral Hawke, 1705-81, Navy commander, M.P., First Lord of the Admiralty, and Admiral of the Fleet.
