Buckden Palace: the newest part of the Gatehouse

Though it looks old, this part of the Gatehouse was built in 1920, using building stone from 15th-century houses, by the eccentric antiquarian owner of Buckden Palace, Dr R H Edleston. His intention was for it to house a museum of relics of Emperor Napoleon III, whose name appears above the door.
