Entrance to Clearwell Castle

Clearwell Castle was originally named Clearwell Court, this was built by Thomas Wyndham in 1727,replacing an older building. It was restored in the 1970s and used as a rehearsal and recording studio. It is currently in use as a wedding venue. Adjacent to the gateway (pictured here) are two lodges: North and South Lodge, the latter of which boasts a picturesque garden which is opened to the public under the National Gardens Scheme.
