A low breastshot wheel. Apparently constructed by a firm more noted for shipbuilding, it is certainly of robust construction. The mill originally had two wheels but one was removed during conversion to a dwelling. This wheel still has its associated machinery. Visited on National Mills Open Weekend, the owner allowed us to photograph the internal elements too.
