Once the largest private house in Ireland. Despite its medieval look it dates back only to c. 1819 and was designed for the Acheson family by Thomas Hopper along the lines of a Norman castle. Nowadays it is divided up into a series of private apartments. The grounds of Gosford Park are open to the public but the castle is private.
