The Augustinian Priory 'St Mary's Priory of Augustinian Cannonesses' (privately owned now and known locally as Ashe Abbey), was founded in 1195 by Theobald de Valoines. http://campseaashe.onesuffolk.net/new-contentpage/. The remains of the Priory are mainly incorporated in the present house, mill and barn of "Ashe Abbey" http://www.pastscape.org.uk/hob.aspx?hob_id=1064902
