Where it passes through the town of Amble, National Cycle Network route 1 (Coast and Castles route) for the most part follows the mouth of the River Coquet. But there are exceptions - such as this point where it crosses a carpark and disappears round the corner along a narrow passageway just to the east of the Marina.
