The replica 14th-century Hanseatic trading ship Kamper Kogge, has set sail for King’s Lynn from its home city of Kampen in the Netherlands and is set to arrive on Thursday 14 of May, when it will be moored at the town's South Quay as part of the Hanseatic Festival. The ship, featuring a castle > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4469925 on the stern, meant as a defence against pirates and enemies, was constructed using the same methods which would have been used originally.
