This notice can be seen in the Ladies' at Cardigan Heritage Centre - I don't know if the Gents' has anything similar. Nevertheless, there's something very romantic about the idea of cargoes of tobacco, figs, indigo and French plums arriving at this little Welsh port, and some of these items the local Tesco doesn't sell even now.
