The Gray Stone, an unusually large stone for this area, is thought to be the only remnant of a recumbent stone circle which was mostly cleared in the 1870s, possibly to make way for a new access road to the farm. It is not in its original position or orientation, and is lying on its back. See http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/19227/details/the+gray+stone+of+clochforbie/ for more information. Image]
