The large building to the left is the farmhouse of Knott Gate Farm. Probably dating from the late-17th century, it is a grade II listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 183160 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-183160-knott-gate-slaidburn-lancashire#.VU4PaWd0x_s British Listed Buildings).
