A view along the final section of the drive to Lancing College. The chapel is off to the right. The fine Victorian Gothic building ahead to the right is the hall, which was designed by R C Carpenter's son, R R Carpenter, and built between 1866 and 1867. This forms the eastern range of the Eastern Quadrangle. It has ten window-bays flanked by buttresses. Above these bays are five large elaborate dormers. Surmounting the roof is an octagonal wooden turret with shingled spire. See shared description below:
