The sun sets once more on another example of Yorkshire's industrial heritage. The site is now undergoing decommissioning. Some people living in the locality may disagree, but some parts of the plant ought to be retained as a memorial of sorts. Maybe the chimney and a section of the battery ovens. Viewed from the B6428 Lund Hill Lane towards the location of the former Monckton No.6 Shaft.
