The house dates back to the early 16th century, doubtless built as a result of the dissolution of the former Priory. The face nearest the photographer is the oldest part of the house. The part of the wall alongside the drive, nearest the house, includes some Tudor period masonry. Both house and wall are Listed Grade II.
