Old properties around the town continue to provide useful accommodation and here at No 11 Abbey Road, a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century which were still being used as homes in 1912 have since been converted for use as retail premises, the current tenants being a clock maker and a café owner who have appropriately called their businesses The Clock Shop and Time for Tea.
