Unfortunately this photograph was not taken on market day so the market place is simply a car park. The mini Albert Memorial in the centre of the marketplace is a memorial to Edward Stanhope. In the 19th Century Horncastle was noted for its Horse Fair. Now in the 21st century it has become a noted centre for antiques and bric-a-brac.
