A narrow minor road, through flat countryside, running from the Halfpenny Gate Road (just behind me) to the Derrynahone and Cockhill Roads, in the townland of Broughmore. The origin of the name does not seem to be recorded but it might be related to the activities of “outlaws” who roamed the countryside after the war/rebellion of 1641/42. Image shows the other end in February 2015. Image shows the name sign at the Halfpenny Gate Road end.
