In 2009 Alpha House had been occupied by some branch of Severn Trent Water and was for sale or to let http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1197217 The Midcounties Co-operative have made some alterations. They are a welcome newcomer to Leamington having opened a convenience store with a contemporary feel in the Lower Parade, which is thriving. The Heart of England Co-operative Society, with a couple of convenience stores locally, is rather less customer-facing: they won't recognise a Co-operative membership card, prompting the thought "When is the Co-op not the Co-op?"
