On my rather outdated OS map this is shown as a lane serving several dwellings and farms as it loops round to join the Loanends Road. The satellite view shows that the middle bit no longer exists and seems to have been ploughed under. This end at the Seven Mile Straight has now acquired a set of gates which are probably locked at night.
