The top of Staveley Hill

The road is actually called Stavely Lane but when I was a child this part of the road was referred to as Stavely Hill! Going down the hill on tricycle or scooter racing the cars was a regular pastime. To the right amongst the trees is a disused quarry, perhaps the source of stone for Renishaw Hall. There was a large rookery above the former quarry.
