The first of several buildings on the site of the present Natwest Bank at the foot of Richmond Hill was the "Scotch" church of 1858 dedicated to St Andrew. It was also called "the iron church" because it was constructed originally of galvanised corrugated iron, that was later rebuilt in stone. Image Image
