The remains of the platform at Godley Junction serving the Cheshire Lines track to Apethorn, Stockport Tiviot Dale and beyond. The main purpose of the line was to carry Yorkshire coal to power stations in Lancashire such as Fiddler's Ferry so very few passenger trains used the line. One that did though was an overnight express from Marylebone to Liverpool.
