The Heartwood Forest is a new forest being created with many new trees being planted in what were formerly agricultural fields. Some of these plantings can be seen here. They were planted by volunteers. The memorial stone is in memory of 613 civilians who were killed by the invading forces on 26 February 1996 in the City of Khojaly by invading forces. The trees were planted by The European Azerbaijan Society on the 26 February 2012. Image]
