The sign depicts the architect Henry Bell who proudly shows the church he built in 1723 after the church tower fell in 1701 and destroyed the church. The church of All Saints overlooks The Green, where the cows are grazing, although the nearest river is some distance away, well out of the village. The tractor pulling the plough represents the agricultural heritage of the area. The sign was raised in 2002, the Queens Golden Jubilee. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4427646
