Taken from the B9118, the River Isla gently slices its way between the Aberdeenshire and Moray countryside as it heads towards its fate where it slides into the River Deveron a few hundred metres downstream. At this location the River Isla marks the border between the counties of Aberdeenshire (to the left) and Moray (to the right).
