View westward from the York Road platform to the 'Bottom' locomotive yard - with apologies for the poor quality. [However, this was one of my First-Ever photographs and taken on a cold and foggy January day, it might have 'artistic' merit]. The locomotive is one of the Ivatt class C1 Large Atlantics (4-4-2), which after a long life were already being phased out on the King's Cross Outer Suburban trains: No. 3295 (built 5/1905 as GNR No. 295, withdrawn - still as LNER No. 3295, 8/47).
