Opened in 1855 as 'Culloden' by the Inverness & Nairn Railway, later part of the Highland Railway, on what is today the line from Aberdeen to Inverness, this station closed in 1965. It had been renamed Allanfearn in 1898. View north east towards Dalcross and Aberdeen. A 1906 map shows a double line here with two platforms. There was also a small goods yard behind the camera position.
