Barham Primary closed in 2001 as part of Pembrokeshire's 'rationalisation' policy towards smaller schools. Its rolls had fallen following the decommissioning of the naval depot and consequent loss of jobs/population in the community. Its building in 1875 was funded by the Barham family of the nearby mansion, in a curious mix of architectural styles. It now lies derelict and sadly missed after educating several generations of local people.
