Crampton Reservoir

Just beside the Crampton Tower stands this reservoir or cistern. Built circa 1859 and holding 83,000 gallons of water. A write-up at the site compares it to rural cisterns in Turkish villages but I would also compare it to Image a few miles down the coast in Rye.
