Also referred to as Upper Pitglassie and as Backhill of Hatton Recumbent Stone Circle, this circle, thought to have consisted of twelve stones, is now reduced to just two main stones and a few smaller ones. The large stone is the recumbent, which is still in situ but seems to have slipped and is lying at an angle.
