This fire tender is pumping water to a fire - but not trying to put it out. The water is in fact going into the tanks of 34067 'Tangmere'. The old steam locomotive has stopped at Frome to take on more before resuming its journey to Weymouth for the day. In days gone by the water would have been provided by more permanent facilities, not a road-going truck.
