The derelict remains of an old cottage, possibly dating back to the early 19th c and the time of the Great Irish Famine, which may well be why it was abandoned. I often wonder where the descendants, if any, of the families who once lived in these old ruins are today. There are many of these relics scattered about the countryside. The iron roofed building to the right would, I should think, be much later.
