The wood to the west of the railway is now a nature reserve run by the Friends of Ashenground and Bolnore Woods who call this section Ashenground Wood though the original location of that was to the east of the railway and was removed in the 1960s to build housing. The OS map has this section as Catt's Wood up to the 1970s when it is called Ashenground Park. Much of Catt's Wood has also been lost to development.
