Lodge on Hatfield Road to Oaklands, formerly a country estate, which by 1937 had been taken over by the Oaklands Agricultural Institute (later the Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture) which in 1991 merged with two other colleges to become part of a general Further Education College, Oaklands College, of which this is the St Albans Campus. The lodge appears on the 1873-79 revision of the 6 inch map (published in 1883).
