A garage has been located here since the 1930s and was formerly known as Station Garage. Beyond the garage building is the tower of the fire station whilst to the left a train is pulling into Haywards Heath station from London on the eastern most platform which suggests that it is going to split with part heading east to Eastbourne and the rest going west to Portsmouth.
