A blue plaque records that the black and white Rowberry Street house of c1600 was formerly (i.e. before that rebuilding) an open hall house. It was almost certainly a farm house until some time in the 18th century, after which it was used as three rented properties. Its name derives from its use from 1897 to 1951 as the place where the Bromyard News and Record was printed and published. I thank Charles Gordon Clark for most of the information above.
