Policies of Howden, a Midlothian big house before the days of Livingston New Town. Much of the policy woodland survives. There is evidence of this part of the park being used for large bonfires and it was also the venue for the first day of Britain's most prestigious orienteering event, the JK in 2012. The start was around here.
