Three parallel lines running towards the coast are the road by the Long Eau, to Saltfleetby all Saints, The Cut (drain) and the Old Salt Road, Two Mile Bank. This is a historic shot since very shortly this view will be invaded by the turbines of two, or possibly three wind energy developments. Starting at the top right corner west of Theddlethorpe a turbine is approved, and the base laid, at Neves Farm. Straddling the Two Mile Bank (a public right of way and bridleway), is to be the Gayton Windfarm of 8 x 115 m turbines. The bases can just be made out on the photo. This project was approved at Appeal, against the wishes of local people. There is also an application for a wind turbine in the field in the foreground. Surely this is too many wind turbines for such a small area?
