A Marshall of Gainsborough inverted vertical single cylinder test engine that I recall was used at the Merchant Venturers' college in Bristol. The collection has been disbanded and I saw this engine in the open at Arreton Barns on the Isle of Wight - Image The engine is No. 45560 of c1906.
