Former Sheep Wash, below Sywell Reservoir

This small man-made pool used to be used to wash sheep in the clean water of the brook. This structure predates the reservoir whose overflow waters it now receives - its brook now being one of two streams that supply water to the reservoir. Presumably in dry weather when the reservoir is below capacity and there is no water to overflow, this little brook can become dry. See Image], Image] et al.
