One of the bleaker sections on a particularly bleak day. The landowners around Wispington took hedge removal in the 1960/70s to an extreme leaving a very open landscape. But recent years have seen the replanting of several miles of hedge (that on the left in the picture being an early example) so that in a decade or two the landscape will look very different.
