Set back a few metres from Monnow Street, Monmouth's main shopping and business street. Cornwall House is a mid 18th century rebuild of the Great House which had occupied the site for about a century. The house was divided into two houses c1860. Grade II (star) listed in 1952 as one of the finest houses in Monmouth town centre. Part of the building has been the main office of the Monmouthshire Beacon newspaper since 1987.
