Midland Metro near Black Lake, West Bromwich

The Midland Metro is a modern electric tramway, also known as light rail, running between Wolverhampton and Birmingham. It opened in 1999 using the trackbed of a former Great Western Railway line for the majority of its route, but there is some street running. The line is currently due to be extended at both ends. This view is looking in the direction of Birmingham. Behind the camera position is the Black Lake stop. Ahead in the distance, on the right, is the park and ride car park.
