Red Jacket Pill links the Tennant Canal with the River Neath. At this point circa 1882 was the Briton Ferry Copper Works and Red Jacket Copper Works. By 1899 Briton Ferry Works became the Cape Copper Works with a railway stop at the nearby Cape Station and later expanded to include the Briton Ferry Chemical Works. By 1899 Red Jacket Copper Works was disused.
