Yorkley Road level crossing, Parkend

Parkend station is the northern terminus of the heritage Dean Forest Railway. Trains do not normally cross Yorkley Road, but the locomotive must do so. There are points beyond the north side of the road, to enable the locomotive to switch tracks. Points beyond the southern edge of the station allow the locomotive to switch tracks again, to be attached to what was the rear of the train, for the return journey south to Lydney.
